Thought
Loving Jesus and not the world is hard in the beginning, but it gets easier as time goes by as you study his word. Let your eyes be the window to heaven and the Holy Spirit enter the door to your heart and you will come to know God for who he really his. Trust and believe.
Your Actions
Many times we say we love Jesus, but our actions say otherwise. Christ died on the cross for our sin and His actions reflected His love for us. What do your actions reflect, do you really love Jesus? Think about your action and ask yourself do they really reflect Jesus Christ, and then pray. Pastor Haynes, Jr.
Stay Focus On Your Vision
Matthew 14: 28-30 (NIV) 28“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.”29“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Many time we lose our focus regarding our walk in life. Peter wanted to walk on water when he saw Jesus but he lost if focus when he saw the high winds and waves. He lost his focus by taking his eyes off of Jesus. Does this sound like someone you know, think about it. Don’t let your troubles distract you and lose your focus. Trust God and believe and he will bring you to the promise land no matter what your going through. Pastor Vern H. Haynes, Jr.
God’s Body
Have you ever thought about how you treat the body that God has given you? Most of us don’t. Think about it. We expose our bodies to sin, eat bad foods, drugs, smoke, alcohol and to much sugar products. Our Body is God’s temple and we need to keep it holy and acceptable.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 New International Version states:
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
It’s time for all of us to keep our bodies holy. Pastor Vern H. Haynes, Jr.
