God is watching you.

May times we say we want to do what is God’s will, but when it come to having hard times (test), it’s all about your will.  God allows us to make a choice (Romans 1: 24-32) and if you would take time to look at today’s world the decision that are made is clear.  Many of you choose the sin of the world and not God.  God is watching you and He still allow you to make the choice and no matter if it’s the wrong choice He is always there watching and waiting for your return.  Don’t wait to long, time is getting short.

Let God

Have you every thought about why things are not going right?  Maybe it’s the things of this world that is holding you back or maybe it just you.  Take a good look at your life and ask yourself the question, and be honest.  Is there a better way (pause)?  Try God, what do you have to lose?

What Do You Get

Recently, I  had  a discussion with those who are involved in our church operations and marketing.  A person asked the question, what does a person get who comes to visit our church (Family Praise & Worship)? In the beginning the question proposed seemed interesting and set some of us back including myself who heard the question. The question was shared with the members of the church. Several days later several persons spoke to me and told me this is what you get when you come to Family Praise & Worship.

1. Acknowledge: You (Pastor Haynes) makes every attempt to met and greet all guests either before or after church.  You try to remember their names and share yourself with them.

2.  Love: You and your members make every attempt to smile, hug and talk with the visitors.  In short you make them feel wanted, loved and at home.

3. Fellowship:  Fellowship is important, how can God’s people really get to know each other if they do not fellowship.  Fellowship is followed by togetherness.

4. Family: It is important to focus on the family because the families make up the church.  It doesn’t matter if your single, couple or a family of three are more.  Each and every persons is important in God’s eyes.

I felt that I needed to share this and I hope that it will assist you if you were asking yourself the question in finding a church “What will I get”.  You will get all of the above and the whole truth and nothing but the truth when it comes to God’s word. We are family, Peace.

Letting the Lord Be Your Stronghold

Many times we have problems and we try to solve them by ourselves.  It doesn’t matter if its financial, marriage, job related or life it self.  Don’t wait to long and let life hold you down.  Let the Lord be your stronghold.  Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall I fear?  The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid. As long as you have the Lord on your side, you can’t go wrong.  Try putting your problems in Gods hands and just believe.

Promise Yourself

Last Sunday morning a poem was share  with the congregation.  I felt that this was something that should be shared with others. By Christian D. Larson: Promise yourself to be so strong that nothing can disturb your peace of mind.  To talk health, happiness and prosperity to every person you meet.  To make all your friends feel that there is something in them.  To look at the sunny side of everything and make your optimism come true.  To think only of the best, to work only for the best and expect only the best.  To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own.  To forget the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future.  To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.  To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that have no time to criticize others.  To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.

Christmas wisdom

God has given us wisdom.  Most of us are happy during this time of the year.  Let make sure that when the Christmas season is over that we still feel the same way starting the new year.  Don’t get in debt.  If you must be in debt, do it by giving a lot of love and hugs (save your money).  Merry Christmas, peace and good will.

Something To Think About

Many times we say God is punishing me or why has God allow this to happen to me?  Many times we allow things that affect our families, friends and our self,  and we let our emotion and pride get in the way.  But do we really trust and wait on the Lord? The Bible say two things in this area:  1)Trust in the Lord with all  your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.  Proverbs 3: 5-6;

2) I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry.  Psalm 40:1

The next question is, are you truly waiting on the Lord and seeking his understanding? ” Only you and God knows the answer to that.”

Being Bless

Sometimes being bless is just doing what God wants you to do and what is right in God’s eyes.  What is your excuse?

This is My Bible

This is my Bible.  My Bible stands for truth and love.
This is my Bible.  I believe in it, I trust in it and I live by it.
Because my Bible is God’s Holy word.  Amen.

Stuff in your trunk

There are those who say that they love the Lord, but they are hindered by things in their life called “stuff”. Stuff that we do not need and could be label as trash, junk or unclean spirits. It comes a time when we need to put out the garbage in our lives and trust God. Get rid of the pride, angry, hate, selfishness, or we can be honest and just call it sin. Yes, Christians can sin. Let the sin go and reach out for the Love of God and He will bring the desires of your heart called happiness, peace, joy and love. It time to let go of the stuff and hold on the God unchanging hand. Peace.
