Is your priority God, just a thought.
Pointing the Finger
How many of you are saying that it is their fault (pointing the finger at others). The bible says to let a man examine himself. Are you perfect? The answer is probably no. When was the last time you looked in the mirror? Maybe it could be the person looking at you is the biggest problem. Maybe it is time to point your finger at that person (yourself) and try getting it right. When you do get it right, then maybe you will have the right to complain, just a thought.
Acting On God’s Word
Many of us read the word, we pray and then we say we love the Lord. Well, guess what. Your actions do not reflect the Lord. Where is your desire to work for the Lord. Where is your desire to be committed to His kingdom. How many times when the Pastor ask you to help in the church, you say that “you have to pray on it”. hum, just a thought.
Points of Prayer
- Praise- Honoring God for who He is.
- Intercession- praying for people.
- Petition- asking God for help for yourself.
- Confession- Telling God about your sin and asking for His forgiveness.
- Commitment- Telling God you will do what He wants you to do.
- Thanksgiving- Thanking God for what He has done for you.
Trusting God
Are you willing to trust God, even If you don’t understand or can’t see what he is doing?
Busy
Have you been so busy that you have not spent any time with the Lord? If so, maybe it’s time to stop and pray.
Being in the Spirit
Do you really have the spirit of God in you or is it just talk?
Mark 4:24
“Consider carefully what you hear. “With the measure you use, it will be measured hear,” he continued to you—and even more.
Handling Your Trials in Difficult Times
James 1:2-8 (NIV) Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
Points of interest:
• James was a servant of God.
• James is the writer and leader of the church.
• His letter was to provide encouragement to the church in their faith during hardships or difficult times.
• James uses the word “whenever” meaning: you will face hardship.
• We need to turn our hardships into learning.
• Many of us have a hard time to be happy during hard times.
• But we need to learn to have a positive outlook due to what those hardships teach us. (He consider it pure joy)
• Tough times can teach us perseverance (meaning steadfastness and patience).
• Hardships develop our character.
1. We need to go through something to see what we are made of.
We need to remember that God never leaves us along, but we leave him. He is always present.
James 1:12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
Remember, the way to be in God’s winning circle is by loving him and staying faithful even under difficulties and pressures.
Christmas Program
Visited Life Community Church in Templeton with my Daughter and Granddaughter for their Christmas program. Had a great time singing and praising the Lord. What a way to bring Christians together to bring in Christmas. Pastor Keith thanks for a great time.
